Preliminary Exam

The purpose of the preliminary examination is to test students understanding of the fundamental principles of chemical and environmental engineering at the undergraduate level. For each student, this comprehensive examination consists of three written tests in areas selected from the following five subjects: Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Transport (heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics), Air pollution control and engineering, and Water quality engineering and waste management.

Quarterly Advising Form

The Quarterly Advising Form is used to register for courses.  Please obtain your Faculty Advisor's approval before obtaining the Graduate Advisor's approval.  Forms must be turned into the Graduate Student Affairs Officer by the given deadline to ensure course registration and to avoid late fees.  Incoming students will have registration explained to them at the CEE Orientation.

Faculty Advisor Selection Form

All first year students are required to complete the Faculty Advisor Selection Form in order to have a faculty mentor approved for them.  You must select three different advisors on the form as it is not guaranteed that you will get your first choice.  The Graduate Committee will convene in December to determine selections and you will be notified of which faculty advisor you have before the end of December.
